Create a souvenir T-shirt on the spot

Print your own handwritten characters directly onto a T-shirt!

During the calligraphy experience, the characters you write can be printed on a T-shirt to take home.
This will become a cherished piece to commemorate your visit to Japan or capture the memories engraved in your heart.
The kanji printed on the T-shirt will be based on characters we suggest according to the pronunciation of your name.
You will then write these characters as part of the calligraphy experience. Using the characters you create on-site, the final result will be a unique, original T-shirt like no other in the world.
If you would prefer to have the instructor's handwritten characters printed instead of your own, we can accommodate this request for an additional fee.

MOGA
Born and raised in Asakusa, I grew up surrounded by the traditional culture of this vibrant town. From a young age, I studied calligraphy, becoming deeply fascinated by Edo-style characters and Edo culture, which I have continued to refine through dedicated practice.
Later, I channeled this experience into a business featuring leather goods, a specialty of Asakusa. This endeavor aims to blend tradition with modernity through original designs, including leather charms inspired by the beauty of Edo art.
Now, I have decided to offer a calligraphy experience for visitors from abroad who wish to gain a deeper understanding of Japanese culture.
Through this experience, I strive to share the beauty and profound meaning of Japanese characters, creating memorable moments for participants from around the world.
In addition, I launched a YouTube channel, "Asakusa Genki TV," to promote the town I love to both domestic and international audiences. By showcasing traditional culture and unique ways to enjoy Asakusa, I hope to share its charm with even more people.

The same applies to cultural arts such as tea ceremony and calligraphy, where practicing meticulous rituals fosters inner peace and harmony. In this way, “道” is not about achieving a destination, but rather the journey itself. It represents a fusion of skill, philosophy, and personal growth, bringing purpose and balance to life—a lifelong…
